Lakeland Alpacas
Mora, Minnesota

It's Monday October 24th and the day after the Northern IL Alpaca Extravaganza 2011.

My 2 Suri females, Marcie and Jazz came home with a Blue ribbon each!!

It was another great Fall show with great weather in the 60's.

Thank you to my great Suri friends at the show for helping get my girls to the show ring on time. Everyone is so social that it's easy to lose track of when your alpacas should be in the show ring. Thank You!!

This is my favorite Poem! The love of nature.
Just thought I would share.

I only went out for a walk

and finally concluded to stay out

until sundown,

for going out,

I found,

was really going in.

New Suri Herdsire - Prodigal Son

Prodigy 3 x Champion!!

Prodigy 3 x Champion!!

Lakeland Alpacas MN
Mora, Minnesota

I have good news and bad news about our new white Suri Herdsire Prodigal Son.

The good news about "Prodigy" is that he is new to Minnesota (MN) and is proudly co-owned with Whispering Oaks Alpacas & Dummond Farm Alpacas and Woolens.

The Prodigal Son has arrived. "Prodigy" is the first cria born out of 15-time Champion, the most decorated white suri male in the nation, PIVAL Blazen Son!

He was just transported in June (2011). Tari Maxfield is starting him off with her herd of Suri females. Prodigy will then be off to Leslie Peterson's farm to breed her Suri females. We all look forward to having the 3 time Champion bring our Suri herd to the Next level.

The BAD news is that we have to wait 1 year to see the new crias!!!

Please check him out. THE PRODIGAL SON HAS ARRIVED!!
